Great Laptop for the price, if you are a gamer and/or a student who needs a high end Laptop, but don't have the cash to buy 1g laptops, this is the laptop for you
Pros: the Nividia 820m runs good on games. Most games you can get 60fps on Medium, and It can handle High settings (but your frame rate will be 30 for most games)
The Intel processor does its job well, and the laptop is pretty fast
The boot time is great, This thing will be ready within seconds when you open it. More impressive since it doesn't have a SSD
Despite some less than stellar parts, the build quality is pretty nice, and the computer
The cost is great, the high power hardware for this price in a laptop is a gift from MSI

Cons:
The Internet is lackluster, It doesn't support 5gz wireless (or at least I couldn't get to work) and it doesn't have the n standard. It can still handle HD video, but for large files I recommend using an Ethernet cord.
The Touch pad, Lower price computers seem to have issues when it comes to this, but is off to the left and can cause you mouse to panic when your are typing. I recommend using a wireless mouse like myself
The screen. The Screen doesn't have that much protection, it feels like they forgot to but a layer of plastic/glass over it. So be careful with this laptop, as it may be prone to screen damage.
Other Information:
The battery life is decent. on power saver - around 5-6 hours if using text-only applications, 3-4 if using a web browser, 2-3 if on high power text-only and 1-2 hours on generally any power setting if using demanding programs.
The screen quality is the standard 1367 * 768 for lower costing laptops
Overall this is a very good laptop and I would highly recommend it.

I first bought two of these laptops in 2014 for my sister and I, and it has been a very great product, especially after four years of on and off use. I love this laptop a lot and it has functioned so well for my primary use of drawing with a tablet, but even for some casual gaming. There are just a couple things I've noticed or encountered using it that I wanted to address as cons for me personally.
First off, the laptop comes installed with Norton, my mortal enemy of antivirus programs. The first step to making the laptop perform better is to absolutely just get rid of it and use a free and better antivirus such as Avast. Using Norton with my laptop for the first week was just annoying from start-up to regular use, as it slowed everything to a noticeable degree. Even without antivirus protection after updating to windows 10, my laptop has been performing well and has not been afflicted with anything since I don't surf beyond some social media and YouTube (but I still highly recommend to not do as I do, and get a good antivirus available to you, just not Norton.)
The next thing I want to address is the sound quality. Quality is good, but throughout the years, the one major issue I've had is the volume capacity of the laptop. It is somewhat low for me, even at the highest setting. If I have things going on in the background like a fan or a heater, I end up wishing I could turn it up just a bit more. It's current capability does work well in a normal and quiet setting, but because I like to watch lots of videos, shows, or listen to music, I enjoy a louder capability that the laptop cannot meet without maybe some speaker assistance or headphones.
There are also times when the memory gets overwhelmed easily, and I only have maybe 3 programs open, with a few tabs. It hasn't acted up often, only in a few instances, so it wasn't a major issue. I was able to patch things like this up by customizing my start-up programs and with some help from my more tech-savvy family members.
I really love the amount of space this laptop has, and the keyboard layout is a nice size, but that can be a double-edged quality. The laptop with its size does not fit a lot of standard sleeves or bags/backpacks. The sleeve I bought from Target years ago fit the laptop perfectly, but stretches it a bit with the accessories (power cord and mouse). The laptop is also slightly heavy, but understandably so and not a huge dealbreaker. I wouldn't recommend it as a campus laptop though if you're looking for something light to carry around everywhere.
